Stockton-on-Tees Cross Town Fibre Network

Xentrall Shared Services is a public partnership between Stockton Borough Council and Darlington Borough Council. Following a tender process in 2014, C-Tech Solutions were awarded a place on the approved contractor list for the delivery of all cabling infrastructure throughout the estate (Re-awarded in December 2019).

In 2018 C-Tech Solutions were asked to assist Xentrall Shared Services to provide a part estate wide Fibre Optic Solution. One of the key internal drivers for this deployment was to reduce monthly line rental costs on individual sites and to have better control over network monitoring and maintenance to these sites.

Emanating from the Councils Data Centre, over 6km OS2 Fibre Optic Cable was installed, routing within buildings and underground duct systems throughout Stockton Town Centre. Working alongside the Councils Property Estates Department and Highway Agency team to ensure a safe and seamless installation.
